In a letter to Style,
five-year-old Dyana Metheny
said that she is finally
getting her very own room,
but she needs her very own
closet! Style and
Spacemakers of East
Tennessee step in for the
rescue.
Day One:
Seth Andrews of Style and
Joy Hillard of Spacemakers
arrive at the Metheny
household to find a walk-in
closet overflowing with
everything from toys to
coffee tables to dining room
chairs!
Hillard suggests installing
a fully adjustable closet.
One that will organize all
of Dyana's toys and
accomodate her changing
needs as she grows.
As for Miss Dyana, her only
request is that we keep to
her "Hello Kitty" theme!
Day Two:
The measurements have been
taken and the blueprint
drawn up, and it's time to
get to work! But first, the
most challenging part of the
entire makeover, emptying
out all the junk!
Once the closet is empty,
the installation begins.
(As usual, Seth is banned
from the powertools so he
hangs out with Dyana at her
tea party!)
Three hours later, the work
is complete, and the Metheny
family is wowed by the
incredible design and
craftsmenship of the
Spacemakers team.
The final design included
adjustable shelving,
drawers, plenty of hanging
space, baskets for laundry,
and of course, pink bows to
keep with the "Hello Kitty"
theme!
